Now, to all of you who actually are even slightly knowledgeable in the world of automotive detailing: The self serve bays in this station are the best I have ever seen. There are over a dozen options for cleaning your vehicle (although most of which I don't utilize) but they even have a dryer which many self serve car washes do not. There are 5 different bays so there is never a need to wait and the facilities are pristine! They even allow you to pay with dollar bills, not just quarters, and the option to use a credit or debit card and pay for only the time that you use. I drive 15 minutes here and 15 minutes back from Kennebunk every single week and there are 6 other car washes that are closer to me which do not even come close to this place. Moody Village Car Wash is like no other car wash I have ever seen in the Southern Maine area.
The automatic car wash machine took my money and then stated "out of service" and would not let me enter car wash. Tried knocking on doors, calling phone number......No response. Total waste of money.
First of all, to all of you complaining about the automatic car wash: If you actually want to effectively clean your car and not ruin the paint while you're at it, you should NOT be using an automatic car wash. Most of them are over priced, ineffective, and can cause severe damage to your paint and wheels. Do not expect your car to come out fully dry, and they are far more costly then the self serve bays which you should be using if you actually care about the condition of your vehicle.
Also I have to say it looked like that big metal swivel that roams around your car was unstable so you could imagine if something goes wrong you'd have absolutely no one to contact unless you start investigating the owners...it says a lot about a business that doesn't list any contact info...buyer beware.
Total and complete rip off, paid for the automatic car wash and the door opened for 2 seconds (not enough time to drive in, so I had to pay a second time, this time it allowed me to enter however after the car wash the dryer never turned on so my car came out wet so I had spots on it once it finally dried...the worst part is that there is absolutely no contact name or phone number so If you want a refund or complain tough luck.
Good place to wash your car.
